Girls bowlers beat Woodridge on the road

The Tallmadge girls bowling team improved to 9-4 after earning a 1,876-1,874 victory over Woodridge Feb. 4 at Legend Lanes in Cuyahoga Falls.

Jennie Kiss had the high series (162-160) and Madison Stock had the high game (180) for the Lady Blue Devils. She also rolled a 136.

Also bowling for Tallmadge (9-4) were Nicole Kreitzburg (149-153), Abby Collins (153), Kes Speelman (142), Annie Drechsler (119) and Brooke Collins (107).

The Lady Blue Devils were scheduled to bowl against Akron East Feb. 7 at Midway Lanes in Akron.

They were set to remain at Midway Lanes for the Greater Summit Conference Tournament Feb. 9. Results of those matches were not available at press time.

Division I sectional play is scheduled to take place Feb. 16 at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood Village. Bowling is set to begin at noon.

Races offered

Four distance runs are coming up in February in the Cleveland area: Feb. 12, Ragin Cajun Run at the Blind Pig in downtown Cleveland; Feb. 16, Chili Bowl Classic 5K at the Galleria in Cleveland; and Feb. 23, Snoball Run at Bay Village High School.
