The Tallmadge wrestling team is tied for ninth place with Cleveland Benedictine at a Division II sectional tournament Feb. 15 at Walsh Jesuit High School.
The Blue Devils and Benedictine each had 20 points after the first day of the tournament, which resumes Feb. 16.
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is leading with 84 points and Woodridge was second with 68.5 points.
Tallmadge's Dallas Testa and Jake Wiegand advanced to the semifinals at 106 and 195 pounds, respectively.
GREEN BEATS BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM
The Tallmadge boys basketball team lost a 65-52 decision to Green Feb. 15 on the road.
With the loss, the Blue Devils fell to 6-15 overall and 2-11 in the Suburban League.
