Golf offered
A spring junior golf league is set to begin April 3 at Maplecrest Golf Club in Kent.
The league is for beginners and advanced golfers, ages 6 to 17. There will be four divisions: three holers, five holers, nine holers rookie and nine holers advanced White (boys) and Red (girls).
A 30-minute professional instruction clinic is expected to be given each week before league play begins. Juniors will play from age-appropriate tees. There will be six weeks of league play, weekly proximity prizes, one free private lesson and a season-ending awards banquet.

Battista finds net
The Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy ice hockey team recently earned a 6-4 victory over Brecksville-Broadview Heights in the Baron Cup semifinals at Coyne Rec Centre in Brooklyn.
Tallmadge resident Parker Battista had a goal in the first period for CVCA.
