The Tallmadge girls basketball team is heading to the Division II district semifinals.
The Lady Blue Devils posted a 60-48 victory over Cleveland St. Martin de Porres in a sectional title contest Feb. 23 at Nordonia High School in Macedonia.
Leah Makuch led the Lady Blue Devils with 15 points and seven rebounds and Kirsten Lightel and Hallie Allen had 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Tallmadge (17-6).
Also contributing for the Lady Blue Devils were Mary Ryan (eight points and five rebounds), Demi DeLorenzo (seven points, five rebounds and four assists) and Kelsey Rice (five points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and three blocks).
