The Tallmadge boys golf team finished in a tie for fourth with Upper Arlington at the 27-team Wooster Generals Invitational Sept. 9 at Wooster Country Club.
The Blue Devils posted a score of 301. Walsh Jesuit won the competition with a score of 296 and Dublin Coffman (297) and defending Division I state champion Dublin Jerome (298) placed second and third, respectively.
Massillon Jackson's Rainey Chase set the Wooster Invitational record with a 67. Tallmadge's Zach Mosholder won a four-way playoff to finish second. He shot a 67 and won the playoff when he got a birdie on the fourth playoff hole.
Chris Koza of the Blue Devils finished in a tie for sixth with 70. Rounding out the team scoring for Tallmadge were Mike Mosholder (78) and Nick Genovese (84).
