Distance races coming to area soon
Two distance runs are coming up this weekend in the area. The 10th annual Miller Boat Line 5K is scheduled for Sept. 21 at Put-in-Bay, while Mayor Kevin Kennedy's 5K is set for Sept. 22 at North Olmsted Community Park.

The Akron Marathon is scheduled for Sept. 28.

Also slated are the Color Run in Willoughby Hills and the Run for Grace and Andy in Hiram, both Sept. 21, and the Mike Doyle 5K at Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation and Joggin for the Noggin at North Elementary School in Madison, both Sept. 22.
Register for marathon
Registration is open for the 2014 Medical Mutual Glass City Marathon, which is set to take place April 27 at the University of Toledo's Glass Bowl.
Discounted Early Bird Registration is open to the first 8,250 entrants, through Dec. 31, in the Marathon, the Owens Corning Half Marathon, the 5-Person Marathon Relay, the 5K Run and the Findley Davies Kids' Marathon.
