The Tallmadge football team dropped its second consecutive game after losing a lopsided 48-14 decision to Nordonia Oct. 11 at Thomas Rossiaky Stadium.
With the loss, the Blue Devils dropped to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the Suburban League. The Knights improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the league.
Nordonia quarterback David Murray had a huge game. He completed 20 of 29 passes for 416 yards with six touchdowns and one interception.
Four of Murray's TD passes went to wide receiver Alex Alders, who finished with six catches for 140 yards. Alders had TD receptions of 13, 42, 52 and 15, respectively.
Murray also completed a 69-yard scoring pass to Trey Lincoln and a 43-yard pass to Denzel Ward, who finished with two interceptions on defense.
Running Jordan Nobles added a 1-yard TD run for the Knights.
Tallmadge quarterback Joseph Vassalotti completed a 4-yard pass to Joe Siesel in the third quarter. Tailback Bobby Clark added a 5-yard TD run for the Blue Devils early in the fourth quarter.
The Knights scored on their first two offensive plays and built a 28-0 lead at halftime.
