The Tallmadge boys cross country team won a Division I district title Oct. 19 at Goodyear Metro Park in Akron.
The Blue Devils scored 61 points. Hudson finished second with 76 points. Also qualifying for the regional competition were Nordonia (87) and Walsh Jesuit (95). A total of 13 teams competed.
Hudson's Kyle Mau placed first out of 91 runners with a time of 16 minutes, 22.06 seconds. His teammate, Gavin Gaynor, placed second (16:34.11).
Patrick Ferguson led Tallmadge with a third-place time of 16:49.87.
Brian McGovern was next for the Blue Devils in seventh (17:15.6) and teammate Nick Murray took 11th (17:28.69).
Rounding out the top five for Tallmadge were Chris LaMancusa (18th, 17:40.2) and A.J. Zesiger (22nd, 17:49.85).
