The Tallmadge girls basketball team improved to 12-5 overall and 5-5 in the Suburban League after earning a 56-53 victory over Nordonia at James O. Maddox Court.

The Lady Knights rallied from an 11-point deficit (47-36) in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 53 when Raquel Pintz knocked down a 3-pointer with 37.1 seconds left.

But the Lady Blue Devils answered on the very next possession.

Kelsey Rice found a wide-open Kirsten Lightel in the left corner. Lightel buried a 3 to give Tallmadge a 56-53 advantage with 21.8 seconds left.

Nordonia (12-5, 6-5) misfired on a couple of 3-point attempts and did not get a shot off during its final possession.
