Tallmadge boys track team places second; girls take fourth at Bill Barry

The Tallmadge boys and girls track and field teams hosted the eight-team Bill Barry Invitational April 12 at Rossiaky Stadium.

The boys finished in a tie for second with Chagrin Falls. Both teams scored 82 points. Walsh Jesuit won with 117 points.

The girls finished with 72 points. Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary won with 120 points and Rocky River (79) and Highland (77) took second and third, respectively.

The following Blue Devils and Lady Blue Devils placed in the top six:

Boys

• 100 meters: Ned Spargling, second, 11.7 seconds; and Jimmy Aumont, fifth, 11.9

• 200: Bobby Clark, second, 24.3

• 400: Clark, third, 52.9

• 3,200: Pat Ferguson, third, 9:56; and A.J. Zesiger, sixth, 10:21

• 110 hurdles: Kyle Harvey, fifth, 17.4; and Alex McGraw, sixth, 18.2

• 300 hurdles: Sergio Rodriguez, third, 44.9

• 400 relay: Jordan Spano, Spargling, Logan Ray and Aumont, second, 45.7

• 800 relay: Spargling, Clark, Ray and Aumont, first, 1:34.7

• 1,600 relay: Aumont, Clark, Chris LaMancusa and Nick Murray, fourth, 3:48.3

• 3,200 relay: Ferguson, LaMancusa, Nick Penix and Murray, first, 8:12

• High jump: Damon Gidley, tied for third, 5 feet, 5 inches

• Long jump: Ray, fourth. 17-7

• Shot put: Steve Taylor, sixth, 38-7.5

• 400: Hallie Allen, fourth, 1:04.4

• 1,600: Brin Stralka, second, 5:33

• 100 hurdles: Brittney Harris, third, 17.2; and Rochelle Haught, fourth, 17.5

• 300 hurdles: Rochelle Haught, tied for second, 50.1; and Harris, tied for fourth, 50.2

• 400 relay: Malish, Sadie Bennett, Sarah Kosir and Emma Brown, third, 52.7

• 800 relay: Allen, Brown, Bennett and Maddie Fairchild, second, 1:51.3

• 1,600 relay: Allen, Haught, Stralka and Fairchild, third, 4:19.9

• 3,200 relay: Stralka, Amanda Peters, Jacquelyn Brown and Anna Bartlett, third, 10:28

• High jump: Brin Stralka, sixth, 4-9

• Pole vault: Lexi Zehner, fourth, 8 feet
