Tallmadge boys place 11th at Walsh and seventh in Ravenna

The Tallmadge boys track and field team placed 11th with 24.5 points at the Walsh Jesuit Warrior Relays April 19 in Ravenna.

Solon easily won the competition with 160 points and Stow-Munroe Falls (100.5) and Toledo St. John's (90) finished second and third, respectively.

The following Blue Devils placed in the top eight:

• Pole vault: Dalton McNeil and Kyle Harvey, fifth, 10 feet, 6 inches

• 800 relay: Ned Spargling, Bobby Clark, Logan Ray and Jimmy Aumont, third, 1 minute, 34.34 seconds

• 400 relay: Latrele Moore, Spargling, Ray and Aumont, fourth, 45.35

• 3,200: Pat Ferguson, second, 9:48.02

Other members of the Tallmadge track and field team placed seventh with 42.5 points at the 12-team Frank Rossi Valkryie Invitational April 19 in Ravenna.

Field won the competition with 105 points and Hanoverton United Local (98.5) and Alliance Marlington (93) finished second and third, respectively.

The following Blue Devils placed in the top eight:

• 200 meters: Jordan Spano, seventh, 25 seconds

• 400: Zack Murray, tied for seventh, 55 seconds

• 800: Chris LaMancusa, third, 2:05.8

• 3,200: A.J. Zesinger, second, 10:23.8

• 110 hurdles: Alex McGraw, seventh, 17.7

• 300 hurdles: John Zolton, fifth, 44.4

• 400 relay: Fernando Wanton, Jeff Favinger, Cory Catchpole and Spano, sixth, 47.2

• 3,200 relay: LaMancusa, Sam Kirkbaumer, Nick Penix and Zesiger, second, 8:43.5

• Discus: Jake Mertus, second, 136 feet
