The host Tallmadge softball team improved to 11-1 overall and 7-0 in the Suburban League after earning a commanding 21-3 victory over Copley April 22.
The game was called after 4-1/2 innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Right-hander Nicolette Williams (2-0) got the win on the mound with five innings of work. She also had two hits at the plate.
The Lady Blue Devils finished with 19 hits and one error. The Indians had six hits and one error.
Tallmadge set the tone with seven runs in the first inning. Joanna Catalano had a three-run homer and Tori Young added a two-run homer in the inning. Williams also blasted a solo home run in the first.
Young added a two-run homer in the second and a two-run double in the fourth. She also scored four runs.
Sierra Bennett finished with three hits and three runs scored and Lexi Philen had two doubles and two runs batted in.
Also faring well for the Lady Blue Devils were Kirsten Lightel (two doubles and two runs scored), Emily Bratnick (two singles and two RBIs) and Logan Knowlton (two singles and an RBI).
