Trio honored

Three Tallmadge baseball players earned all-league honors for baseball.

Ben Pratt, a junior at Tallmadge High School, was named to the Diamond League all-league team in the age 16-and-younger division and will play in the Battle of the Stars All Star Event in Youngstown, which took place July 22 at Cene Park in Struthers.

In addition, Tallmadge freshmen Jared Burick and Zach Boyd, who play for the Brownlee Lookouts 14-and-younger summer team, were similarly honored by the Ohio Prospects League.

The OPL coaches select an all-tournament team comprised of players in the OPL based on their regular season baseball performance to participate in the PONY Tournament.
