Golfers fall to rival

The Tallmadge boys golf team fell to 3-6 overall and 1-4 in the conference after losing to Revere Sept. 20 at Maplecrest Golf Course in Kent. The Minutemen (6-3, 2-2) earned a 169-184 victory.

Noah Bowser led the Blue Devils with a 39 to earn medalist honors. He chipped in for birdie on the third hole and took just 12 putts.

Seniors Jake Pallotta was next with a 45 and Austin Moore added a 47 for Tallmadge. Pallotta and Moore were honored prior to the match on senior day. Rounding out the team scoring for the Blue Devils were Brandon Gray and Liam Tokash, who each shot a 53.

Tallmadge was scheduled to visit American Conference rival Aurora Sept. 22. Results were not available at press time.

The Blue Devils are set to visit Suburban League crossover foe Wadsworth Sept. 27 at Barberton Brookside Country Club in Norton. Play is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Tallmadge is set to compete in the Suburban League Postseason Tournament Sept. 29 at J.E. Good Park Golf Course in Akron. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Tennis team loses

The Tallmadge girls tennis team lost to Suburban League crossover rival Twinsburg 5-0 Sept. 21 on the road.

The Lady Blue Devils (0-13) finished 0-6 in the Suburban League American Conference after losing to Aurora 5-0 Sept. 19 at Western Reserve Racquet & Fitness Club in Streetsboro.

The Lady Blue Devils were scheduled to compete in the Suburban League Championships Sept. 23 at Highland High School in Medina.

Results were not available at press time.

Tallmadge is set to visit Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary Sept. 26 before returning home to play Manchester Sept. 27 and Massillon Sept. 28.

The Lady Blue Devils are scheduled to visit Suburban League crossover foe Cuyahoga Falls Sept. 29.

All four matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
