Tallmadge bowlers defeat league rival Wadsworth at Stonehedge

The Tallmadge boys and girls bowling teams earned Suburban League victories over Wadsworth Jan. 19 at Stonehedge Entertainment in Akron.
The Blue Devil boys improved to 5-4 overall and 5-4 in the Suburban League with a 2,629-2,485 win. The Grizzlies dropped to 6-3.
The Tallmadge girls cruised to a 2,423-2,030 victory to move to 5-2 overall and 5-2 in the league. Wadsworth dropped to 4-3.
Nick Drayer led the boys team with a high game of 259. He also rolled a 193 for a 452 series.
Robert Wilson rolled a 225 game and Gabe Griffith (194 and 179) and Austin Moore (191 and 180) had the second and third highest series, respectively, for the Blue Devils, who outscored the Grizzlies 715-622 in the Baker games. Tallmadge was down 100 pins after the first game.
The Lady Blue Devils were led by Kirsten Moore (228 and 191). Tawney Beans (193 and 205) was next for Tallmadge  and Emily Kiss rolled games of 217 and 174. Also faring well for the Lady Blue Devils was Hallie Turney (190 and 178).
Tallmadge outscored Wadsworth 608-457 in the Baker games.
The junior varsity boys team cruised to a 2,162-1,890 win.
Josh Parry led the Blue Devils with scores of 204 and 168. David Kisha (180 and 156) was next for Tallmadge and first-year bowler Robert Drummond rolled a 180 game.
