The 200-yard individual medley is certainly not Justyn Rhine's favorite event.
However, the Tallmadge senior stuck it out and won it with a time of 2 minutes, 14.32 seconds Jan. 13 during the host Blue Devils' 102-53 victory over Crestwood at University Park YMCA in Akron.
"Justyn is one of those kids who you can put in any event and he's going to give it his all," Tallmadge head coach Ryan Miller said. "He had a really nice time in the 100 breaststroke, too."
Rhine also swam a second-place time of 1:12.71 in the 100 breaststroke.
Five nights later, host Tallmadge fell to 6-3 overall and 2-3 in the Suburban League American Conference after losing to Revere 97-73 Jan. 18.

"I was very happy with the 200 freestyle relay team," Miller said. "They posted their second fastest time of the season, which really speaks volumes because our home pool isn't really a fast pool."
