Chili Bowl run set April 7 in Mantua
Registration is under way for Mantua's Chili Bowl 5K, which is hosted by Advanced Rehabilitation and Health Specialists.
This year's event is scheduled to take place April 7 at 6 p.m. Races are set to begin at 4707 Mill Street in Mantua and head east on the Headwaters Trail.
Pre-registration includes a customized ceramic mug for the first 72 at the price of $20. Student registration costs $10, day of race price is $22 (and will include a mug if any are left) or $15 if no mugs are available.
Registration is scheduled to open April 7 at 5:15 p.m. Racers can stay after to try different chilies and vote for their favorite bowl. There will be prizes for the winners of the vegetable and meat chili contest.
Personal chili recipes also can be entered for a chance to be the 2017 Chili Bowl cook-off winner. Call the office by March 30 to enter.
Registration is available by either coming into the office, mailing in registration forms and payment or using the online system at Advance Rehab's website.
Umpire clinic set
Umpire Masters Professional Services is scheduled to conduct an umpire training clinic March 25 at Ravenna High School.
The clinic set to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic costs $35 and is open to anyone 16 years old (males and females) and older.

The Q Community Fun Run is scheduled to take place March 26 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
