The Tallmadge softball team settled for a split during the Ripken Experience March 30 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Lady Blue Devils suffered a 7-6 defeat to Columbus Bishop Watterson in their first game and then posted a 5-4 victory over Worthington Christian in the second game.
Jordyn Severns had two hits, including a triple, and two runs batted in for Tallmadge (2-1)
Autumn Malicoat also had two hits and an RBI and Emily Pratt and Olivia Carey each had a single and an RBI.
Against Worthington Christian, Delanie Dadich was a triple away from hitting for the cycle. She had a single, a double and a home run to go with three RBIs.
Malicoat had two singles and drove in the game-winning run. Carey added a home run.
Also contributing for the Lady Blue Devils was Gia Spitali, who finished with two singles.
