Lucca Passarelli ran a personal-best time of 42.1 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles during the Tallmadge boys track and field team's 73-64 loss at Suburban League American Conference rival Kent Roosevelt April 4.
Passarelli won both the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches) and the 110 hurdles (15.8).
The loss to the Rough Riders, Tallmadge’s first dual meet of the season, came down to the very last race. That race was the 1,600 relay, which consisted of Sean Ambrose, Dan Hepler, Vince Labosky and Alex Vaughan.
Also coming down to the wire was the 800, which Labosky won with a time of 2:09. Riter was third (2:15).
Also finishing first was Ambrose in the long jump with a leap of 18-11, a personal best. Nick Hussing was second (18-6).
Sgro was second (5-4) in the high jump and Ryan Kaufman was third (4-10).
Brown won the 3,200 with a time of 10:58, and Alex Krukemeyer was third (11:11). Blake Bockus won the shot put (measurement not available).
Ryan Riter finished first in the 1,600 with a time of 4:47. Zach Brown (5:04) was third.
Ambrose, Hussing, Passarelli and Richard Quintrell won the 400 relay with a time of 46.2. Garrett Ansley, Brown, Labosky and Riter won the 3,200 relay (time not available).
Hussing was second in the 100 with a time of 11.6 and Passarelli was second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.1.
Lawrence Strebler was third in the 200 with a time of 25 seconds and Hunter Sally finished third in the 400 with a time of 56.2.
Ansley was third in the pole vault with a throw of 9 feet.
