The Tallmadge softball team kept its Suburban League American Conference title hopes alive after posting a 7-3 victory over Copley April 24 on the road.
With the win, the Lady Blue Devils improved to 12-4 overall and 7-1 in the American Conference. It was Tallmadge's sixth consecutive victory.
The Lady Blue Devils scored four runs in the third inning to take a 5-2 lead. They added two more runs in the seventh.
Tallmadge finished with 10 hits and three errors and the Lady Indians had seven hits and one error.
Jordyn Severns led the Lady Blue Devils' offense with two hits, including a double, a stolen base, and three runs scored.
Madison Rearick had two hits and two runs scored and Autumn Malicoat had two hits and a stolen base for Tallmadge.
Gia Spitali had a single, two runs batted in and a run scored and Gabbi Gray had a single and two RBIs for the Lady Blue Devils.
Left-hander Hallie Mullett pitched all seven innings to get the win for Tallmadge. She struck out three batters and walked none and allowed just one earned run.
