Tallmadge softball wins ninth straight game

The streak has now reached nine games.
The Tallmadge softball team improved to 15-4 in 2017 after posting a 4-3 victory over Northwest April 27 in Canal Fulton.
It was the Lady Blue Devils' ninth consecutive win.
Tallmadge scored three runs in the top of the third to take a 4-1 lead and held on the rest of the way.
The Lady Blue Devils had nine hits and two errors. Northwest had six hits and no errors.
Olivia Ayres led Tallmadge with three hits, including a double, and a run scored.
Teammate Autumn Malicoat had two hits, including a triple, a run batted in and a run scored.
Jordyn Severns had two hits and an RBI and Madison Rearick, had a single, a walk, two runs scored and an RBI for the Lady Blue Devils.
Right-hander Emily Pratt got the win the circle. She allowed one earned run in four innings of work to improve to 9-2 in 2017.
Left-hander Hallie Mullett pitched the last three innings.
