Tallmadge boys track places third at Buckeye Relays

The Tallmadge boys track and field team finished third with 93 points at the seven-team Buckeye Relays April 28 in Medina.
Buckeye won the competition with 120 points and North Ridgeville was the runner-up with 109 points.
The Blue Devils' 3,200-meter relay team of Zack Brown, Vince Labosky, John Labosky and Ryan Riter won with a time of 8 minutes, 42.79 seconds.
Lucca Passarelli added a win in the 300 hurdles with a clocking of 42.33 seconds.
The following Tallmadge athlete also scored team points:
• 3,200: Riter, second, 10:08.97; and Brown, third, 10:40.73
• 800 sprint medley:  Hunter Sally, Rodney Tucker, Dan Rader and Alex Vaughan, fifth, 1:46.23
• Distance medley: Dan Hepler, John Labosky, Vince Labosky and Dan Rader, third, 12:27.65
• 400: Rader, third, 12.01
• 800: Vince Labosky, fifth, 2:18.58
• 110 shuttle hurdles: Jacob Brieding, Eddie Ahwajee, Passarelli and Ryan Kafuman, third, 1:13.16
• 1,600 relay: Vince Labosky, Vaughan, Hepler and John Labosky, third, 3:45.92
•  High-jump relay: Passarelli (tied for first, 6 feet, 2 inches), Mitch Pflugh and Vinnie Sgro, second, 15-4
• Pole-vault relay: Garrett Ansley (tied for third, 11 feet), Mitchell Herman and Ahwajee, tied for second, 19-.25
• Long-jump relay: Passarelli (sixth, 17-3.5), Jacob Brieding and Jake Davis, fourth, 47-7
• Discus: Matt Kieke (second, 117-2), Blake Bockus (fifth, 108-11) and George Logan, first, 332 feet, 6 inches
• Shot put: Bockus (first, 50-6.5), Kieke (third, 44-3) and Michael Cornell, first, 133-7
