Tennis beats Falls in season finale

The host Tallmadge boys tennis team concluded its season with a 4-1 victory over Suburban League crossover rival Cuyahoga Falls May 16.

Chris DiPuccio (6-1, 6-1), Josh Todd (7-6, 7-2, 7-5) and Foster Zalar (6-0, 6-2) won in singles' play and the Blue Devils' second doubles team of Patrick Rotunda and Ed Suber earned a 7-5, 6-3 victory.

DiPuccio, Todd, Zalar and fellow seniors Dimitri Fortseras, Kent Hoang, Carmelo Lamancusa concluded their careers at Tallmadge.

"It was a nice way to end the season on a positive note," Blue Devils head coach Russell Wormald said. "The seniors covered most of the lineup all year. They will be greatly missed. It was a nice way to end it all."

Tallmadge finished 3-11 in 2017.
